What is inside?

Published by the Lancashire Parish Register Society in 1904 and republished here is The Registers of the Parish Church of Middleton in the County of Lancaster, 1653-1729. This publication covers the second, third and fourth volumes of the Middleton registers and includes baptisms, burials and marriages. They approximate breakdown of records is as follows: Baptisms: 3,250 Burials: 2,750 Marriages: 500 Baptisms and Marriages include at least two names while many of the burial records also include a second family name. Some of the marriages also include some details of where the bride and groom were from. The volume is completed with an extensive forename and surname index as well as a place index. Overall this is a very valuable resource for anyone researching family from Middleton in the late 17th Century and early 18th Century.
