Did you know that those visionary Victorians invented Christmas as we know it today?

Imagine if Santa’s sleigh was a time machine! Travel back in time with us at the Irish Family History Centre and experience Christmas as your great-great grandparents did over 100 years ago! Throughout the event we will be exploring a very Victorian Christmas through a series of festive activities.

Sing Christmas carols at the top of your voice; try your hand at playing some traditional games; create your own magical mementos for the family at our festive card and decoration booth; and sample delicious festive foods.

Come dressed as your favourite traditional Christmas characters and even try on some Victorian costumes! Make some very merry memories this December, and join us for Christmas Present, Christmas Past! here in the CHQ Building, Dublin 1.
